Track Bred EG6 Build…Part 2

Welcome back!! Today we’re bringing you part 2 of Jerry’s track bred EG build. With lots of buzz still circulating about this car we’ll be taking a look at the final stage in the fabrication process of the custom bodykit Jerry created in this post. We also take a look at some other slight modifications done to the car which will hopefully allow it to perform at its highest potential.

For those of you who missed the first few posts on this build the links are below so you can get up to date.

Track Bred EG6 Build…

Now that you’re all updated let’s get on with today’s post…

Final set of fibreglass work being done on the back fenders…

With the kit completed, some test fitting of the tail lights was needed to ensure everything lined up correctly…

A view from of the recently completed rear bumper. The exhaust pictured here will be rerouted to exit to the left of the car just behind the passenger door…

A closer look of the partially primed front bumper…

During the design process of the bodykit, Jerry decided that going up in wheel size would be a good idea. However, with the limited wheel options available here, Jerry would then have to wait until a set arrived. In the mean time, they pushed ahead with the bodykit basically averaging the dimensions of the wheels. Luckily when it was time to test fit everything lined up pretty well. Coming from a previous set of Enkei PF01 15×8 at the front and 15×7 at the back; the car now sits on a set of silver Enkei RPF1 17×9.5 +18 at the front and 17×9 +25 at the back with some Hoosier A6 rubber 245, 225 at the front and back respectively…

The finished bodykit along with wheel setup as the car sits on the ground…

After taking care of the bodykit, the shell then went to get some more structural strengthening done to the front end…

Modifications were also made to the wheel well area…

With the new aero added to the car, Jerry saw a need to adjust the seating position to suit…

Thanks for taking a look at Jerry’s Track Bred EG6 Build, be sure to look out for our next installment where we get into the most exciting part for some of you, the specs on that K-Series motor…
