Absalom’s A31 Build… Part 2
Moving forward today with Absalom’s A31 Build, Chris has finally got the motor back together and is about to drop it in. While the car was down he also took this time to make some upgrades to the suspension which he went about it in a serious way.
For those who may want to check out the previous posts, I’ve provided the link below…
With the block ripped apart, Chris took the time to throw some paint on it…
A few more shots of the motor assembly with the head fully complete…
As mentioned, while doing some research Chris decided it was time to take things to another level with his current suspension setup…
And went ahead and bought the ISIS Performance Products suspension arm kit which included…
Adjustable rose jointed rear toe rod…
Adjustable rose jointed rear upper camber arm…
A comparison between the stock toe rod and the ISIS Performance replacement…
Arm comparison between the stock traction rod and the ISIS Performance traction rod…
And finally a look at the difference between the stock upper camber arm with the ISIS Performance replacement…
Arms finally installed…
A final shot of the how the arms sit…
Chris hard at work getting started on the other side…
With everything installed a few adjustments were needed…
Another upgrade that was made to the suspension was the swap to Powerflex rear subframe bushings…
Applying some heat so the new bushings can be installed…
Out with the old and in with the new…
In the spirit of having everything refreshed, the cam covers saw a fresh coat of paint…
Taking things a bit further, Chris decided he would give the wheels a new look…
Meanwhile… A package had finally arrived…
BC Racing fully adjustable coilovers…
Close up of the camber plates…
Another shot fresh out the box…
A quick comparison of the front and back to the previous Tein setup…
Finally installed… Black, gold and green…
Not satisfied with how the intercooler looked, Chris went for a stealthier look by having it redone in a matte black finish…
Some shots of the completed engine bay…
Fortunately or unfortunately the green was a bit of an overkill, so Chris opted to go with the gunmetal hue from before…
A glimpse of how it all came together…
That’s it for today’s post on Absalom’s A31 build, thanks for taking a look and as things progress with this build I will be sure to keep you guys updated.
