Honda Craze… 2013
Today I have couple photos from the recently held Honda Craze event, I wouldn’t quite say its coverage like what you are accustomed to seeing here, largely because I mainly went to show my support rather than cover the event. The photos you will be seeing are just a few random shots I managed to capture while I was there. There were a few cars that stood out more than others, namely the trio of S2000s which were the highlight of the event.
Judging from the feedback from the event, patrons seemed to be disappointed by late arrivals which led to the arrangement of cars being thrown off somewhat. Like with any other event, there were a few hiccups but hopefully the guys will look at it as a learning experience and seek to improve from here. After speaking with a couple of the organizers this was the first of many more events to come so you can be on the lookout.
Now let’s get on with the photos….
The plan was to meet up with Kerry and then head down to the event, these are a few shots I took while I was waiting on him to get ready.
Kerry’s DC5 that wore the recently designed TDS windshield banner. Kerry wanted to do something extra for the event and was toying around the idea of a windshield banner, but it wasn’t until two days before the event that we then made the final decision to push forward with it. Needless to say it was a rush considering the time frame, but in the end it came out pretty good and was well received.
A closer look…
When we arrived the sun was already starting to go down so I grabbed the camera and started taking some shots right away.
One of the two FD2 Civic Type Rs that came out for the event, this one rocking a M&M Type MR front bumper…
Interesting choice in tail lights on this one…
Ricardo Pope’s FD-2 took home the award for Best 4 Door…
Romel Elcock’s Ej8 with a custom made front splitter. This guy took home most of the prizes on the day, Best Civic, Best 2 Door, Cleanest Car and Best Car On Show.
With a nice drop on a set of 18″ Vastus Rhine wheels….
Trunk lip and euro tail lights…
A host of coupes and sedans made it out to the event as well…
This black 4 door with a B series motor…
Bright green Civic rally car also made the trip down…
Unfortunately the shots of this Integra didn’t come out as good as I thought, this was the only one I was able to salvage which doesn’t do it much justice…
DC-2 on a set of Enkei RP01s…
DC-5 with Mugen side skirts and rear lip…
Simple but nice looking 4 door EG with amber corners, Mugen front lip and a set of bright blue wheels…
Michael Carter’s Nos fed K-swapped SiR won best engine bay and he also won Honda Guy of The Year…
The S2000s that I mentioned earlier that caused quite a buzz and constantly had people around them.
Boosted S2000 rocking J’s Racing front bumper and fenders, sitting on a set of Work Meister S1s…
While the other one rocked a full Powerhouse Amuse GT1 body kit…
Sol Esuf’s Supercharged S2000 on a set of CCW Classics and a pair of Bride seats with the ever popular Takata harnesses to compliment them, it also had a Cusco bolt in cage and it won Best Interior.
Euro R that took home Best Accord….
I’m gonna close out with a couple more shots of Kerry DC-5, he ended up wining Best DC-5, so all the last minute running around paid off…
