The Joys of Simplicity…
So far fans of TDS would know that most of our content has been mainly based around project builds, but today we’re going to change things up a bit… If there’s anything we’re fans of it’s a clean and simple ride, simplicity goes a long way and Romel’s 1998 Honda Civic Coupe would be just the right example. Having owned a few Hondas in the past, Romel wanted to try something different and went with a coupe. Out of all the models, the coupe is least desirable to build among most local enthusiasts but this didn’t stop him from showing the masses that they too can stand out in a crowd.
There was a buzz circulating on the streets even before it made its first appearance. With its flawlessly executed custom lilac pearl paint, this civic is in a class of its own. Sitting perfectly on a set of Vastus 18×8 (+40 offset) wrapped in Roadstone 215/35/18 tires, with a H&R springs / Tokico strut combination.
After wheels and suspension it was time to start working on the exterior modifications to the front you’ll find Civic Type R styled black housing headlights, grille and a custom front lip. Working your way to the tail end, a M3 styled trunk lip along with the euro styled tail lights and a custom rear lip rounding off the exterior.
We’re definitely looking forward to what the future holds for Romel. Don’t be surprised if you see this one back on The Driver Seat in the near future. Romel asked us to give some thank you’s and shout outs; “big shout out to my mechanic Biggie, Dellon from “Wint Auto Shop” who did the paint work, Millennium Auto Tint and CAMP2 Distributors and everyone who has supported me over the years with this ride.” With that said, we’ll leave you with a couple more photos of his ride…
