Track Bred EG6 Build… Part 8
Today’s update is yet another exciting one. In the last update there was still some minor stuff that needed to be taken care of and since then, its safe to say that the car is finally complete and ready to hit the track. The panels are back from paint and in my opinion it looks even better than before. Also, the wiring is finally complete and best of all, the K Series motor has been fired up…
As always, below are a few photos of the progress.
For those who need to catch up on the previous posts, the link is below…
As I have mentioned in previous posts, the wheel wells needed to be cut and redesigned in order to accommodate the large wheels. Here is a view from the inside.
Kill switch mounted in place to the right of the driver’s seat…
Under body view of the fuel cell and the fuel lines which are finally completed…
Another under body shot where you guys can see the custom made 3″ side exit exhaust.
The final test fitting of the custom made wing…
Now that the final height has been determined, the wing will be removed once again and the brackets painted in flat black.
The body panels are finally back and installed…
Jerry swapped out the Integra Type S axles for Driveshaft Shop’s 2.9 axles just to be on the safe side.
It was a long hard day, but it was well worth it with the progress that was made.
The doors, hood and bumper still need to be installed but it was a lot easier to work without them, and Jerry didn’t want them to be damaged before the car makes its debut at the track.
Bumper installed!!!…
With the bumper fitted you can get an idea of how menacing this will look once on the track…
Front shot with the Jenvey filter removed and the carbon fibre trumpets exposed…
It’s been a long journey with this build, I hope you guys enjoyed it. From here the next step for Jerry is to get the motor mapped to suit the track and then head out to get the suspension dialed in before race day. That’s it for today, stay tuned for some upcoming stuff I have for you guys in the next couple of days…
